Cochrane RCMP have responded to a number of break-and-enters in the Sunset Ridge and Bow Ridge communities. Suspects are using unlocked windows and doors to gain entry into the home, prompting police to remind homeowners to lock all windows and doors to ensure they cannot be opened from the outside.
In one case, a homeowner confronted two male suspects in the home, who then fled. The homeowner was not injured.
Police are currently working a composite sketch artist to get a photo released as soon as possible.

A biker crashed a motorcycle in the ditch on Highway 1A on Tuesday night.
The motorcycle was travelling westbound on Highway 1A when it went off the road near Jamieson Road on Oct. 20 around 5 p.m. in the north ditch.
Highway 1A was closed for a short amount of time while the driver was transported to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance.
The driver did not sustain any life-threatening injuries and no other persons were involved.
Police are still determining the cause of the crash.
