Capture the Flag Outdoor Paintball & Airsoft Cochrane is hosting its third annual Shooting for a Cause event on July 31.
Starting at 9:00 a.m. and running until around 5:00 p.m., people can participate in three scenario paintball games. The grounds are located at 72032 North off of Range Road 40.
Registration for the event is $30 for people renting equipment and $20 for people bringing their own equipment. Paintballs will be sold at a discounted price.
Registered participants will also be entered into a prize draw. A side draw will be taking place for items donated the Calgary Flames Hockey Club.
Proceeds from the side draw will be donated to the Helping Families Handle Cancer Foundation. This Calgary-based charity is specifically designed to aid families financially while they are dealing with cancer, according to its website.
Since its inception, this event has raised nearly $8,000 for Helping Families Handle Cancer and organizers are looking forward to passing the $10,000 mark this year.
