Who said bright 90s snowsuits were out of style?
This past weekend one funky Cochrane team helped raise money for neurological disorders with the Attack of the 90s Neon Snowsuits for the annual snowshoe fundraiser at the Fallentimber Meadery.
“It was such a great venue,” said Lyndsie Barrie, team leader.
More than 100 people showed up from Cochrane, Calgary and surrounding area to raise money for Calgary’s Branch Out Neurological Foundation raising more than $40,000 for neurological disorders such as autism, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, dementia and concussions.
The next fundraising event will be the Branch Out Bike Tour at the Panorama Mountain Resort where Barrie is trying to gather of team of six people to make the ride “bright and funky,” with a goal to raise a minimum of $1,000 each.
