Stoney Nakoda man kidnapped

On Jan. 24, Cochrane RCMP officers responded to a report of an abduction of a male from Stoney Nakoda First Nation. During the investigation the officers discovered the victim planned a meeting with the three suspects related to drug activity.

Cpl. Curtis Peters said the victim was held for less than a day.

Cochrane RCMP said the 18-year-old was released before the RCMP located the suspects. The victim was treated for minor injuries.

Four suspects were located during the investigation, one was released with no charges.

Georgina Twoyoungmen, 36, Lyle Bearspaw, 23, and Crieg Amos, 26, were all charged with assault and kidnapping with a firearm. All three were denied bail.
