SUV rollover sends five to hospital

Corp. Brad White with Cochrane RCMP said that an ongoing investigation is underway for impaired driving and driving over the legal limit.

Cochrane RCMP continue to investigate a June 16 stolen vehicle incident.

A white Ford F-150 with what was believed to be two occupants was pulled over by a sheriff for speeding on the Trans-Canada Highway westbound, 3km east of Highway 22.

The vehicle was identified as stolen with a stolen license plate when the driver and passenger fled the scene.

Police reported the vehicle was spotted coming into Cochrane via Hwy 22, ran a red light at the Fireside Gate and was passing vehicles on solid yellow lines. The police officer following the vehicle then backed off from his pursuit.

The truck had www.org.com stenciled on its back window.

The vehicle was found abandoned June 17, southwest of Cochrane near Towers Trail.

The suspects are yet to be identified and a forensics investigation is ongoing.
