More than 240 of the area’s most passionate youth dancers, singers, musicians and actors sang, sashayed and soloed their way into Cochrane Toyota this week to showcase their talents and receive valuable feedback as part of the 2016 Rotary Youth Talent Festival.

Organizer Cyndie Baum said about 30 participants have been chosen to take the stage at the festival’s grand finale at RockPointe Church, taking place on Friday from 7-9 p.m.

The inspiring evening of music, dance and more is free of charge and will be hosted by popular NewsTalk 770 host Jock Wilson, said Baum.

“We’re so excited,” she said, adding performances will range from “cute to emotional.”

“We’re very blessed in Cochrane that we have an amazing pool of talent in this area.”
