The Town of Cochrane's Children's Festival will be presenting Dr. Von Houligan's Carnival of Calamites on May 28.

Hosted at the Historic Cochrane Ranche Site, the circus features entertainers, acrobats, and hilarious calamites. The event will have three show times - 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m - which are all 90 minutes in length.

The event will also have booths and games from other community partners as well as carnival snacks and face painting. Green Fools, featuring Gustavo the Impossiblist, will be performing on a secondary stage between the circus showtimes.

MacKay's Ice Cream, one of the event's sponsors, will be donating five tubs of the festival's signature flavour of ice cream, Cotton Candy Sprinkles, as well as cones. The ice cream will be complementary while supplies last.

Each circus show can fit a maximum of 250 people so it is recommended that those who wish to attend purchase tickets in advance.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the event or online in advance at cochrane.ca/eservices or in-person at the town's Recreation and Culture office.
