The ‘Connecting Cochrane Plan.’
This is the new name for the Town of Cochrane’s transportation master plan, an initiative that aims to study the implications of instituting a transit system.
The goal of the plan is to establish a connection for all of Cochrane’s communities and to provide direction for all modes of transportation, including vehicular, bicycle and a possible bus system.
The town will hold three public engagement sessions to get input from residents on the plan. The first will be held in June, with the following two in September and then December.
Urban Systems, an engineering, planning and consulting firm out of Calgary that is assisting the town with the Connecting Cochrane Plan, has collected Cochrane traffic data in October 2013 for the purposes of the plan.
