A Second World War flier will captivate listeners with the tale of the crash of his Wellington bomber when he takes centre stage during a special presentation from Seniors On The Bow (SOTB).
Henry (Hank) Ernst, a retired Warrant Officer First Class from No. 420 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force, will be speaking in the SOTB auditorium June 11, at 7 p.m.
Ernst, 93, will talk of his survival of the crash, which occurred during a night mission over enemy territory January 29, 1943. The presentation will include a showing of TV special of Ernst’s story titled Final Flight: The Search for DF626.
All are welcome to attend. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
