The Friends of Westbrook (FOW) have already sold more than 400 of the 500 tickets available for the Trip-a-Month fundraiser.
Travel destinations include Cuba, Hawaii, Disneyland, Dominican Republic, San Francisco, and Vegas – with draws to start March 1.
“People seem to think it’s a really great idea and a really great fundraiser,” said Sarah Spocchi, president of the Friends of Westbrook. “There are great prizes, great chances to win and you are helping out a school in the community.”
The fundraising goal is $25,000 with all the monies from the fundraiser to go towards phase 2 for the Learning Commons and for the redesign of the Learning Environment at Westbrook School in Cochrane.
There will be three draws a month, with three prizes for each draw.
First prize is the destination trip, second prize is $200 and third prize is $100. With 85 tickets left, tickets will be sold until Feb. 29.
