The Wings over Springbank Airshow is taking place July 26 and 27 at the Springbank airport.
Wings Over Springbank Airshow is a not for profit, two-day outdoor event featuring the RCAF Snowbirds and the CF18 Demo Team as well as several civilian aerobatic performers including Erickson Aircraft Collection, P-47D Thunderbolt, Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk and SBD Dauntless, while also getting a performance from Team Rocket made up of Ken Fowler and Eric Hansen. Proceeds for this year will go towards Wellspring Calgary who provide programs and services for those living with cancer.
On the grounds, you can try foods from a variety of local vendors, let the kids have some fun on one of the numerous kid friendly bouncers while you take in the Car Show. There will also be a static display of aircraft for those in attendance to tour. Gates open at 10 a.m. both days with opening ceremonies kicking off the event at 12:30. The flying will begin at 1 p.m.
Tickets are being sold for $30 for adults, $20 for kids ages four to 17 as well as seniors. The VIP experience is $150.
