Cochrane High School Cobras win Rocky View Sports Association varsity girl’s and varsity boy’s golf titles together for first time in school history, claiming the banners at Springbank’s River Spirit Golf Club. Cobras varsity girl’s golfer Bria Jansen would follow that team title up with individual provincial high school golfing gold, shooting 77-78-155 at Redwood Meadows. Cochrane’s varsity girl’s golf team would win provincial high school silver.

After going undefeated the entire season (15-0, including playoffs) the Bow Valley Grizzlies men’s rugby team is edged 18-15 by the Calgary Canucks in Calgary Rugby Union Div. 3 final.

Ground is broken on Cochrane’s new all-weather FieldTurf artificial-grass playing field. The $1.5-million project includes the all-weather field, spectator stands and lighting for night games.
