Cochrane High School Cobras alumnus Samantha Tennant has wrapped up her college basketball career with her team’s highest honour.

The King’s University College Eagles named Tennant their most valuable player at the Edmonton institute’s season-ending banquet.

Playing in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference, the Eagles managed two wins in interdivisional play this season.

Tennant averaged a team-leading 15.5 points per game while shooting nearly 70 per cent from the free-throw line and averaging 6.7 boards per game this season for the Eagles.

The guard started in 20 of the team’s 21 games, averaging 25 minutes played per contest.
