Football, football, and more football. From 8- 9-year-old Atoms (Cochrane Lions undefeated this season), to high school, to the pros, this has been a stellar year for Cochrane football.
Particularly Calgary Stampeders fullback Rob Cote. The Cochrane Cobras alumnus started 16 games at fullback for the Stamps this season, reeling in eight catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. He added three carries for five yards and nine tackles on special teams while returning two kickoffs for 17 yards. The Stamps won the Canadian Football League’s regular season at 14-4, earned a first-round bye in the playoffs and face Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Nov. 17 Western Final at McMahon, 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
Should be another good game for Cochrane football.
