Cochrane Cowboys wrestler Cian Hilkewich won gold in the bantam male 43-kilogram class at the Alberta Open provincial wrestling championships March 15 in Calgary.
Isaiah Springer won gold in the 63-kg bantam division and Connor Pointen gold in 87-kg bantam.
Danika Cook won gold in the bantam female class at 42 kilograms. Brendan McKeage won gold at 46 kg in the cadet male class with Connor McNeice winning gold at 50 kg and Charles Cook winning bronze at 54 kg.
In juvenile male competition, Brendan McKeage won gold at 46 kg. Connor McNeice won gold at 50 kg, Callum McNeice gold at 54 kg, Charles Cook bronze at 54 kg and Vernon Pointen fifth at 54 kg.
Aidan McKeage won gold at 63 kg in the juvenile male age group.
The Cowboys brought 15 wrestlers to the Open for wrestlers aged 7-17.
