Myles Moffat sniped a pair of goals and added two assists to lead the Rockyview Silvertips to their first win of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League Tier 1 Jr. B season, an 11-10 decision May 9 over visiting Okotoks Marauders at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre.
Moffat’s goal from Patrick Temple with 13:43 gone in the first period got the ball bouncing Rockyview’s way, tying the score 1-1.
With the score tied 10-10 late in the third, Brett Goodman converted Ben Kilbride’s feed for the eventual game winner with 2:56 remaining. Goalie Branko Van den Wildenbergh slammed the door from there as Silvertips (1-4) held on for the win.
Jaydon Sommerfeld had two goals and an assist for Rockyview with Michael Halladay scoring twice.
