Walker and Snith slide to silver in team luge event

After finishing a disappointing 19th in Lillehammer, Norway, to open the International Luge Federation World Cup season, Cochrane’s Tristan Walker and teammate Justin Snith of Calgary took silver in the team relay luge event Nov.

After finishing a disappointing 19th in Lillehammer, Norway, to open the International Luge Federation World Cup season, Cochrane’s Tristan Walker and teammate Justin Snith of Calgary took silver in the team relay luge event Nov. 24 at Innsbruck-Igls, Austria. The doubles luge sliders finished 12th in the doubles event, but teamed up with Canadian women’s slider Alex Gough and men’s singles luger Samuel Edney to take the luge team relay silver.

GENERALS WIN

Patrick Dove scored two goals and added two assists to lead the Cochrane Generals to a 7-5 Heritage Junior Hockey League win over the Three Hills Thrashers Nov. 22 in Three Hills.

SENIOR CURLING

The seniors curling bonspiel begins today (Nov. 28) at the Cochrane Curling Club. Eighty curlers, divided into four divisions, will take part in the event running Nov. 28-30 at Cochrane Curling Club.
