TORONTO — Some of the most active companies traded Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (20,103.89, down 100.98):

Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:WEED). Healthcare. Down 12 cents, or 16.44 per cent, to 61 cents on 8.6 million shares.

Toronto-Dominion Bank. (TSX:TD). Finance. Down 16 cents, or 0.19 per cent, to $83.18 on 8.2 million shares.

Bank of Nova Scotia. (TSX:BNS). Finance. Down 51 cents, or 0.78 per cent, to $64.79 on 7.5 million shares.

TC Energy Corp. (TSX:TRP). Energy. Down 65 cents, or 1.22 per cent, to $52.76 on 6.4 million shares.

Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Energy. Down 37 cents, or 0.75 per cent, to $48.86 on 6.1 million shares.

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Energy. Down 69 cents, or 0.93 per cent, to $73.79 on 6.1 million shares.

Quebecor Inc. (TSX:QBR.B). Telecom. Up 80 cents, or 2.43 per cent, to $33.71. News and telecommunications company Quebecor Inc. announced Wednesday it would immediately withdraw advertising from Meta's Facebook and Instagram platforms, a move that comes after the tech giant's decision to remove Canadian news from its sites. Meta has chosen to block Canadian news from its social media services in response to the federal Online News Act, which will require Google and Meta to pay news publishers for content that appears on their sites if it helps them generate money. The act known as Bill C-18 is due to come into effect later this year.

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Energy. Down 28 cents, or 0.71 per cent, to $39.08. Canada's top technical authority on cybersecurity is working closely with Suncor Energy Inc. in the aftermath of a high-profile systems breach at the oil and gas giant. The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security — which leads Canada's federal response to cybersecurity incidents — said Wednesday it can't disclose details of the cybersecurity incident that caused payment systems at many of Suncor's Petro-Canada locations across the country to go down last week.
