QMJHL Roundup: Denis's overtime winner helps Mooseheads edge Olympiques 5-4

GATINEAU, Que. — Lou-Félix Denis scored 1:45 into overtime as the Halifax Mooseheads edged the Gatineau Olympiques 5-4 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Cade Moser, Markus Vidicek, Peter Reynolds and Mathieu Cataford scored in regulation time for Halifax (36-14-8).

Jack Milner made 34 saves for the win in net.

Justin Boisselle scored twice for Gatineau (21-30-7), while Alexander Gaudio and Jacob Kaine chipped in as well.

Olympiques netminder Zach Pelletier kicked out 26 of 31 shots.

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Félix Lacerte scored his second goal of the night in overtime as the Cataractes slipped past Drummondville.

Jordan Tourigny had the other goal for Shawinigan (24-29-3).

Maveric Lamoureux and Peter Repcik replied for the Voltigeurs (39-10-6).

QUÉBEC — Alexandre Desmarais was the overtime hero as the Remparts eked out a win over Saint John.

Julien Béland scored twice for Quebec (19-33-4), and Pier-Etienne Cloutier also found the back of the net.

Nicolas Bilodeau, Matteo Mann and Egan Beveridge supplied the offence for the Sea Dogs (17-30-8).

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Raphaël Précourt stopped all 34 shots he faced as the Sagueneens shutout Victoriaville.

Maxim Massé and Alexis Morin had two goals apiece and Loïc Usereau added a single for Chicoutimi (28-22-7).

Goalie Gabriel D'Aigle stopped 25 shots for the Tigres (35-17-3).
