Just a couple of activities to round out December at Seniors on the Bow (SOTB). Pub Friday Night takes place Dec. 20 at 2 p.m.
A golden oldie film, White Christmas, often seen during the festive season shows at Monday matinee Dec. 23 at 1:30 p.m.
NOTE: The SOTB Centre will be closed Dec. 24 and re-open Jan. 2.
To kick off the New Year the Seniors Fine Art and Crafts Show in conjunction with the unveiling of the donor wall happens Jan. 11 from 2-6 p.m.
Other events include the hot lunch at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 10. Menu choice is meat or veggie lasagna, Caesar salad and dessert all prepared by our kitchen ladies. Cost is $6; please register.
Many recreation and culture programs are also happening at SOTB beginning in January.

1) Provincial Food Safety Certification Course takes place on Saturday, January 18. Certification for this course is necessary for anyone handling food at the SOTB Drop In Centre.
2) Ballroom dance lessons go from Jan. 6 to March 10. Social dancing (fox trot and East Coast swing) from 7-8 p.m. and country dancing (waltz and triple two-step) from 8-9 p.m.
3) Beginner snowshoe series (50+) — to develop confidence, basic knowledge and skills of the sport. Meet at Cochrane Ranche Historic Site starting Jan. 8 at 9:15 a.m. Cost $40 for SOTB members, $50 for others.
4) Yoga and meditation for longevity (50+) — Session 1 begins Jan. 7 at 9:30 a.m. and Jan. 10 at 10:30 p.m. Cost is $30 for SOTB members and $43.75 for non-members.
5) Piloga (50+) goes Jan. 16 to April 3 from 7-8 p.m. Cost is $60 for SOTB members and $75 for non-members.
6) Zumba gold (50+) goes at 9:15 a.m. Wednesdays beginning Jan. 8 and Thursdays starting Jan. 10. Cost is $56 for SOTB members and $70 for non-members.
