The dark days of winter are closing in, but Seniors on the Bow (SOTB) has plenty of ongoing activities and exciting special events to keep Cochrane and area seniors occupied.

On Oct. 19, a fashion show and tea will begin at 2 p.m. and features Jockey Person to Person Clothing. This is a very popular event so get your tickets for $10 each at SOTB reception before they run out.

A highlight of the next few weeks is “Sgt. Wilson’s Army Show” happening Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. Jokes, banter and grand old music from the ‘40s and ‘50s will bring back many memories with plenty of laughter.

This is a highly rated show for only $25 per person. Dessert bar included, with a cash bar also available. Bring friends and neighbours – it’s open to the general public.

Geocaching at the Cochrane Historic Site promises to be a good outing. A meeting at the Seniors Drop In Centre Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. will convene to plan the event for Oct. 26.

Join the group if you are familiar with geocaching or if you would like to learn. Once the exercise is complete, participants will meet back at SOTB to share experiences.

On Halloween, be sure to drop in at the centre. There may be surprise ghosties and ghoulies appearing. Dress for the occasion if you like, and to make the day more fun, special treats will be provided.

It’s time to sign up for session two of Yoga, Piloga, Zumba and creative art making.
