Dear editor: Support local Cochrane small businesses! What a great idea…no question this should be a priority for all Cochrane shoppers, to help support the privately owned small businesses in this awesome town.

Dear editor: What an interesting debate taking place in Cochrane.

Dear editor: Calgary is building a luxurious $119-million recreation facility on our doorstep in Rocky Ridge. This facility will include basically everything you could ask for, including a wave pool and water slides.

Dear editor: OK folks, buckle in – this is going to be a bit of a rant. First of all, I am a pet owner and an animal lover. I have two cats and three small dogs, and I am very responsible when it comes to their care and welfare.

Dear editor: I could easily argue against a new pool and curling rink, as I’m not likely to use either, now or in the future, and it is a major investment of our tax dollars.

Dear editor: On the long weekend, I went door knocking, and one resident said, “It’s too bad we couldn’t have both a new pool and the traffic addressed.” That point really defines where Cochrane is at on the topic. And the truth is, we can have both.

Dear editor: My response to the email “Rock the Roads” from councillor Morgan Nagel is as follows: Even suggesting this plebiscite vote is undemocratic.

Dear editor: We are writing this letter in support of the curling rink as part of the new aquatics facility. We have been regular curlers in Cochrane since 2003 and when we began curling, the curling rink was already an old, dumpy building.

Dear editor: I write this in response to the article about the results of the renewable energy framework report/study and the public consultation being held Oct. 20.
