Downtown rink ready for skates

The public outdoor skating rink across from the Family and Community Support Services building is now open.

The public outdoor skating rink across from the Family and Community Support Services building is now open.

The Town of Cochrane announced it was ready for use in a Facebook post Jan. 7, thanking the parks team for their work preparing it.

Hockey and shinny are not permitted on the rink which is intended for skating only.

Those who wish to play hockey can do so just a short distance away at the Tim Bannister Memorial Rink.

The town also reminds the public to stay off stormwater facilities, creeks and rivers.
