Rocky View Schools (RVS) was found innocent of unfair labour practices by the province’s Labour Relations Board on Sept. 17 after the Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) accused them of such doings last June.
The ATA said RVS was guilty of the action after the division’s board of trustees decided to post opening proposals from negotiations on a new bargaining agreement by both parties online.
RVS said they decided to make the opening proposals public in the interest of transparency, while the ATA said it was not common practice to make bargaining agreements public until they were complete.
