The Calgary Kennel & Obedience Club dog show is coming to Cochrane for four days this weekend.

Cochrane RCMP charged one impaired driver during the Tour of Alberta last Friday. RCMP set up one kilometre west of town on Highway 1A to stop traffic when at approximately 1 p.m. police noticed a vehicle heading west bound on the closed highway.

With the Sept. 15 deadline looming, Rocky View County, Cochrane and surrounding community members are encouraged to express their approvals or concerns about the draft Glenbow Ranch Area Structure Plan (GRASP).

The fourth and final night market hits the streets next Thursday. Filling Cochrane’s downtown with a variety of attractions bringing vendors, artisans, food trucks, music, buskers and late night shopping, everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Some Cochrane residents are concerned after RCMP raided four homes last week, in relation to organized crime and drugs.
