NEUSTAEDTER, Peter E.

1931 – 2019

After a lengthy illness, Dad passed away in his sleep on
Monday June 17th, 2019.

Dad was born on a farm in Clearwater, Manitoba on
February 23, 1931. His parents were Paul and Maria
Neustaedter. He was the youngest in his family and was
predeceased by his seven brothers and one sister. Left
to mourn his passing are his wife Helen Neustaedter and
his children, Deborah Penner (Ken), Gerry Neustaedter
(Grace), Rose Neufeld (Gerald), Ted Neustaedter (Mary
Ann), Loretta Neustaedter, Ray Neustaedter (Rosie), and
Jeff Neustaedter (Kendra), as well as his grandchildren,
Joel Penner, Ryan Penner, Summer Brandt (Oliver), Vayla Olson (Daryl),
Willa Milne (Peter), Marya Cordell (Darcy), Derek Neufeld, Brett Neufeld,
Jason Neufeld, Cara Neufeld, Neil Neustaedter (Courtney Dupont), James
Neustaedter, Blake Neustaedter, Jackson Neustaedter, Peyton Neustaedter,

Dad attended Sinkerville School near Clearwater, Manitoba until his parents
moved to a farm near Purves. He went on to purchase the farm when his
parents moved to Crystal City, Manitoba. He married Helen Giesbrecht on
September 13, 1953. Together they farmed the land until 1989 and continued
living on the farm until they moved to Cochrane in 1995.
Mom and Dad celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in September.
Dad has made many friends through church and his faith in God has been
the mainstay of his life. Through the church he learned to love music and has
appreciated the beautiful hymns that express his faith for his entire life.
Dad’s personal mission was to share his faith with others at every
opportunity. One of the ways he enjoyed doing this was to offer a Bible to
anyone he met. His favourite verse, which he shared at every opportunity is
Proverbs 3: 5 – 6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your
own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct
your paths.”
A Funeral Service will be held at the Bow Valley Baptist Church (54 West
Aarsby Rd. Cochrane, AB) on Friday, June 21st at 1:00, with interment to
follow at the Cochrane Cemetery.
