Kimberly Petitclerc, beloved wife of Devin Petitclerc of Cochrane, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the age of 28 years.
Kim’s story is one for the history books...
She was diagnosed with stage IV osteosarcoma six years ago, being told she only had a year to live (maybe two if she was lucky). On that day, she changed completely. Becoming unstoppable, accomplishing absolutely everything she could. With her husband and family by her side, she conquered the world. From riding her horse for days on end, to hiking up mountains, she even traveled across half of the planet. Nothing could get in her way. Her beauty and grace is unrivalled by anyone in the world. Between her sheer bravery and constant positivity, no one could stop her from doing what she wanted to do. We are the privileged few she chose to have in the remainder of her life. So we must honour her, by living without boundaries, by not caring what other people think of us, simply living life to the absolute fullest. Because that’s exactly what she would want us to do.
Kim is survived by her loving husband, Devin Petitclerc; her parents, Colette (Leo) Brown and Carl Hussey; sister Jessica Hussey; her nephew Aidan Shorrocks; her aunt and uncles, Louise (Bob) Dolan and Paul Bazinet; her grandmother Yola Lauzon; her cousins, Pattie and Jamie Dolan; her in-laws, Joni and Dani Petitclerc; brother-in-law, Ty (Jess) Petitclerc; niece Violet; and her pet horse Spencer.
