The Bragg Creek & Area Chamber of Commerce is laying the groundwork for the installation of a new mural to be established outside a local pharmacy in the coming weeks.

In previous years, the funds from Move Mountains have been used towards updating the Edge School's learning commons, purchasing new equipment for their training centre, new water bottle filling stations, and upgrading both classroom technology and school change rooms. 

RVC mayor, Don Kochan, is pleased the minister honoured the two municipalities’ requests to be removed and plans to continue collaborating with regional neighbours.

Every recommendation within the 2022 Fire Services Master Plan will come back to council for budget approval.

Rocky View County, Tsuut'ina Nation, and the Canadian Red Cross are letting residents know they will be conducting an Emergency Management Exercise in Bragg Creek on April 21. The exercise, set to take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"Effective immediately, there are no fire advisories or bans in the west region of the County, and permit burning is allowed," stated a press release from the County.

As a member of CRAZ, RVC will have access to air quality specialists who monitor, analyze, and provide information on air quality.

While some egg hunt events in Rocky View County took place during the weekend before Easter, like in Redwood Meadows, Springbank, and Chestermere, there are still plenty of opportunities to get kids hunting for eggs this Easter.

Sixteen-year-old Mark Norregaard from Balzac hopes other young people will feel encouraged to participate in a science fair in the future. He said it's all about having fun and experimenting.

Spring road bans are expected until June 13, but permits are available to allow certain large vehicles on county roads.
