Doctors are now able to bill $20 per call to help combat COVID-19.

NEW YORK — You're washing your hands countless times a day to try to ward off the coronavirus. You should also wash that extension of your hand and breeding ground for germs — your phone.

Even though the risk level in Cochrane remains low and day-to-day Town operations are running as usual, the Town has enacted the Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP).

The county encourages residents to take standard precautions to protect themselves from coronavirus and place a special emphasis on the need for those who have been potentially exposed to self-isolate.

The Cochrane Generals tied up their series with the Okotoks Bisons at 2-2. The teams will now await for word on if their respective seasons will continue due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak.

"After much consultation with the Hockey Canada membership, our chief medical officer and public health officials, the Hockey Canada Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel all Hockey Canada-sanctioned activities*, including our national championships, until further notice, effective Friday, March 13, 2020."
